Silhouettes of Southeast Alaska
$10.00
Sheryl Ginn is an artist with a true gift for making Scherenschnitte, or German paper cuts, the inspiration for the Silhouettes of Southeast Alaska. There are geometric symbols for Northwest coastal native basketry patterns in each of the Silhouettes: tidelands in the top image, Orca teeth in the second, and footprints of the brown bear in the bottom image. The wall hanging (25” x 41” ) is made using fusible techniques. The pattern includes Lisa’s tips on fusible appliqué.
